I had an extended stay there from August 11th through August 31st. It was my first time staying there, and if I should go back, definitely would stay there again. First, the Guesthouse is located perfectly. Within 5 minutes walk, you are at the Train Station, or you can shop at Aldi, Rewe or Tegut. Across the hotel is a bus stop, so you can take a bus to downtown, however, you could also easily walk there as it takes only about 5 to 10 minutes. The rooms are very clean and each one allows for internet connection, but here is were I need to caution you. When I initially checked in, I was located on the 4th floor a single room and while my tablet and my cell phone were easily connecting to the wifi in the Hotel, my Laptop could not. The room in itself was spacious and very clean, offered a small fridge, 2 burner stove, pots, pans, etc. Ample storage in the room, including a small desk and of course a TV. I stayed in that room for about 4 days, but then was switched to another on the ground floor, which was a double bed with access to a balcony. The reason for the switch was, because of the internet issue (laptop worked perfectly fine on ground floor), but also because the window upstairs could only be opened fully and not tilted (as is customary in Germany) and the window opened right above the bed which meant when I got up I kept hitting myself on it. The front desk employees were extremely courteous and were the once to suggest the move at no additional cost. The second room was beautiful, spacious and offered the same amenities as the top floor one did. I will attach pictures from both rooms for you to see. In the morning they offered free coffee, Fruit, Milk, Cereal, Yogurt and pre-made Rolls and a few sweet cakes. It was a nice surprise to have that included in my stay (sorry, forgot to take pictures of it loaded). Overall the Guesthouse Mainz is very nice and highly recommended, the only drawback I see there, but which is true of most German hotels and other Businesses is the lack of accommodations for those that are disabled. Going up the stairs to the Guest House there is no railing, which made it a bit difficult for me as I am wearing a full knee brace, because I only had the wall to steady me. If anyone was using a wheelchair or other mobile device, you would not have had any access to the Hotel. But, again in all fairness, that was true for a lot of other places I visited. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, die Zimmer sind sauber und modern. Das Frühstück ist gut, jedoch ist die Auswahr begrenzt. Nachts ist es vor dem Hotel leider sehr laut. Kann aber sein das es am Wochenende lag.

Wir hatten mindestens zum zweiten Mal Werbung von diesem Hotel bei uns im Briefkasten, obwohl klar dran steht, dass wir das nicht möchten. Hoffentlich werden die Wünsche der Gäste hier nicht so respektlos behandelt wie unser Wunsch keine Werbung zu erhalten.
